Since 1871, Topeka High School has been a touchstone for thousands. Join us in celebrating 150 years of trial, triumph and tradition.
In 2021, Topeka High marks the milestone: Sesquicentennial, and plans are being made for a birthday bash like no other. The year will be filled with
events and programs designed to fete this amazing school and all it has meant to students, faculty, friends and community over a century and a half.
The Topeka High School Historical Society (THSHS) was organized in 1985 under the leadership of Ed Love (THS ’39) to preserve the architecture, traditions and heritage of Topeka High plus conserve artifacts, papers, photographs, yearbooks and other materials relating to its history. The Society assists alumni with reunions and works closely with the school and student body on tours, events and other projects. It publishes an alumni newsletter three or four times a year along with an occasional special publication. The THSHS also maintains a small Topeka High Museum in its office located on the 2nd floor opposite the Tower or Hall of Fame Room, displaying student life from the 19th century to the present. Our mission is to Preserve, Promote and Enhance the Traditions and Heritage of Topeka High School.

As we continue to achieve our goals for Topeka High School we would like to thank those many graduates and supporters who have already contributed to our mission.
